At Lets Recruit, we understand that the recruitment process is more than just matching candidates to roles – it’s about creating a seamless experience for both the candidate and the employer. From the initial screening call to offering the role and handling pre-employment checks, we ensure every step is transparent and engaging.
Here is a breakdown of the process we follow for employment here at Lets Recruit:
Initial contact
When you first contact us about an open position, we will have an initial conversation with you to ensure that everyone is on the same page about the role and the expectations you may have regarding your working style or salary. This helps us provide an insight into the office culture, as well as the day-to-day activities of the role.
If both parties are satisfied and wish to move forward, we will forward your CV to the Hiring Manager. Along with submitting your CV, we will discuss your background with the Hiring Manager to highlight key aspects of your experience and attributes.
This approach is crucial for representing you as an individual rather than merely a set of qualifications. We can convey your skills and personality more effectively than a CV, regardless of its quality.
How we help in the interview process
We will handle all interview scheduling, ensuring it aligns with both your and the Hiring Manager's availability. This eliminates the hassle of multiple email exchanges between you, the Hiring Manager, and HR to coordinate a time for the interview.
Additionally, we will have a preparatory call to guide you through the interview's structure and discuss the types of questions you can anticipate. We'll cover what will be discussed during the interview and highlight the qualities the Hiring Manager is seeking, helping you to make the best possible first impression.
If the open position is for our internal company, we will meet you at the door, so you see a friendly face and introduce you to the team and the Hiring Manager.
After the interview
After the interview is complete, we will speak with you to gain your insights on the role, discuss how you feel the interview went overall, and answer any additional questions you may have. If you wish to elaborate on anything that was discussed during the interview, this will be your opportunity to do so.
We aim to ensure that you are still pleased with the role and its requirements.
After a few days, we will be in touch regarding feedback from the Hiring Manager and any input you provide will be communicated to the internal team. If the process involves multiple interview stages, you will be informed about a second interview during this call.
If there are multiple interview stages, the interview process is then repeated.
Onboarding
Once the interviews are completed, the onboarding process begins.
You will receive a call from us to let you know you were successful, and we will offer you the role verbally. If necessary, we will handle any salary negotiations on your behalf, acting as the intermediary between you and the Hiring Manager.
Once both parties are satisfied with the contract and all the details of employment, you will receive an email with the offer in writing for you to review and either accept or decline.
If accepted, the ID and DBS checks will be initiated, and we will keep you updated on the progress of these documents.
Finally, we will call you to discuss handing in your notice and provide guidance on how to do this effectively.
In conclusion
We act as the intermediary between you and the Hiring Manager, ensuring a smooth and efficient job search experience. This allows you to focus on presenting your best self and securing the role you want in the legal industry.
